Fight a Different Fight
Poverty stricken weary eyes
Of a nation bound by hopes and lies
The poor suffer as the rich thrive
In a world where we fight a different fight
Another addict lost their life
To the love of a needles high
Trapped inside an unforgiving ride
Because you choose to fight a different fight
Educated in the system is a costly price
Knowledge is half the battle to survive
But most can't afford a college ride
So you struggle to fight a different fight
Following your dreams is a painful high
To move forward you leave it all behind
Success or failure? ... You decide
To choose to fight a different fight
Plaugued by illness as our loved ones cry
A battle to heal and understand why
Can cancer and such be a creation of life?
That causes your family to fight a different fight
Surronded by the forces of day and night
The misfortune of being wrong or right
Remember the only difference between you and I
Is we choose to fight a different fight

ReplyDeleteGatha to "Fight a Different Fight":
A cup is over flowing
Another is empty, see
When they come colliding
Change is meant to be
