FALLEN VIRTUES
Can you feel the view that life portrays?
crowded streets littered by everyday noise
tattered concrete blocks stained by the rituals of poise
The sarcastic notion that we designed this maze
A jungle built on the deterioration of dreams
as mother nature is divided like cake
in a scheme devised to enrich its slaves
Because the rich and poor are on opposite teams
Dingy signs all clad in rules on every block
clattered amongst the falling souls who beg for food
cement beds await the hearts of black and blue
Societies fallen virtues we have forgot
Enraged disgust to see how little people care
in a nation over-populated and under-resourced
by a revolution whose values have driven us of course
Defended by the ignorant who wood sell you air
A battle of hope can not be fought as one
experience the chance of opening your eyes
and adore your seat on this one-time ride
That is sadly taken advantage by some

It is never a good time when virtues are let to fall like that.
