LOOKING FORWARD

Among the vast sea of life
I’ve made my way to you
     As another year has bid farewell
     Love has begun anew

Exchanged a glance with a smile
Was the foundation for our love
     So easily my heart gave in
     Which it rarely does

Destiny has a funny way
Of providing what one needs
     When this heart felt like giving up
     She brought your love to me

Looking forward instead of back
Has replenished this souls hope
     The hope that happiness lye’s within
     The future we now hold
