BLIND CONFIDENCE

Ego barring preachers tongue
Blocks the view inside
Blind confidence emerges from
The world that you deny

Embodied by your popularity
As you verbally masturbate
Critically maiming your dignity
In your self-absorbed state

Arrogance consumed over-achievers
Assume we owe them praise
For we are not believers
In your competitive race

Don’t over-step where you stand
Because you are all just sheep
Fate can destroy any plan
And watch your soul deplete

Many times we jump the gun
And become disappointed fools
A trapped personality on the run
Escaping humanities rules

Modesty has become very rare
Because we’re obligated to ourselves
As your image begins to wear
You discover the key to yourself
